From 1953 to 2002 the Cadillac Eldorado model was part of the Cadillac auto maker company line. The Cadillac Eldorado was the longest running American personal luxury car as the Cadillac company was the only one sold after the 1999 model year. Its main competitors and rivals are included the lower priced Buick Riviera and the Lincoln Mark Series. Although cars that bearing the name varied considerably in body style, layout and mechanical layout during this long period, the Cadillac Eldorado models were always near of the top of the Cadillac cars line.
